A proud native of Oka-Akoko, attended St. Mark A/C Primary School and Ojomorin Comprehensive High School before earning her MA from Sofia University in Bulgaria. She eventually moved to the U.S., where she married and settled in Chicago. Currently a registered nurse, Kemi received her nursing degree from Olive Harvey and Grand Canyon University. Her interests include spreading health awareness and volunteering for the underprivileged. She enjoys being a part of this organization because she can continue to explore the beauty and depth of Oka culture, allowing her to stay connected and also give back to the community.
